At the mall of course. I fiddle with the iPod, the 4G. Same old rules, works for me. There are customers all over the store, nice young people who work with the customers, very few are alone. One woman I recognize as having worked in the shoes store in the mall before.

I go to the back where they have computers set up to work like cash registers. But where does to money go? They seem to work with cards a lot. Credit cards, iTunes cards.

-Do you have a one on one?
[scratching my head, mumbling.. ..apparently they mean an appointment]
-Er, I just want to buy a iPod mini.
-Oh. Let me get Rick to help you.

-And you are paying?
-Cash.
-OK
[they know cash!]
-What color are they?
-You only get gray in 4GB.

I pay. No white bag needed, just the iPod and receipt.

OK, it works, 1GB loaded. I am now playing a playlist called Hot Meat. It is the best of Uncle Meat and all but one track of Hot Rats.
